This semi-abstract work was inspired by the poem High Flight by John Gillespie McGee Jr that begins: Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth And danced the skies on laughter silvered wings..." The wings are 0.5 mm steel and the base patinated aluminium. Height 15 cm. Private collection. |
