This was created for the Belconnen Artists Network (BeAN) group exhibition Rear View Mirror held in 2000. Made from a car sun visor with a mirror, and featuring a small sculpture of a woman looking at herself in a hand held mirror, the title already has meaning on two levels. However, when the sun visor is turned upwards and the work viewed from behind, another woman in the mirror is revealed - as seen in the third image. Mixed media. Height 25 cm. Private collection. |
